This Imperial Stout presents a sophisticated convergence of deep roasted character and the distinct influence of twelve months in DYC whisky barrels. The aroma is saturated with espresso, bittersweet chocolate, and dark fruit notes of raisin and black currant, layered over the smooth, oaky vanilla of Spanish whisky. On the palate, the addition of oatmeal creates a luxurious, velvety texture that carries flavors of toasted grain and cocoa. A firm bitterness is tempered by the barrel's natural sweetness and a subtle, integrated warmth, resulting in a complex, lingering finish of charred oak and dark malt.
