Lehe Pruulikoda / Basqueland Phantasmic Voyage

NEIPA - New England IPA - 7º - 50 IBU
Basqueland Brewing

Phantasmic Voyage

Phantasmic Voyage is the newest experimental IPA-trend around. Phantasm is a powder made from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grapes. They are incredibly rich in Thiol precursors, which when added correctly to a fermenting beer, can unlock rich, strong tropical fruit aromas.

The beer is hazy, dark yellow, with a yellowish head that lasts a long time.

There is a lot of aroma here - when you open the can, a bouquet of sweet ripe fruits fills the room. Introducing the nose closer to the glass, we find such juicy citrus, pineapple, passion fruit, melon, etc., etc.

The taste is more restrained and balanced. The exuberant fruitiness turns into bittersweet grapefruity with a bit of old-school pine resin in background. Caramelly sweet maltiness in the aftertaste.

Phantasmic Voyage is a dangerously easy-drinking hoppy tropical bomb that’s perfect for any summer barbecue.
Enjoy the beer chilled and certainly poured!
