This collaboration between La Pirata and Soma Beer delivers a potent Double New England IPA that prioritizes lush hop expression over raw bitterness. At 8% ABV, it presents an intense aromatic profile of ripe mango, passionfruit, and bright citrus. The use of a soft, bready malt base provides a velvety foundation for the saturated hop oils, resulting in a saturated, juicy character. While it fits the strength of a Double IPA, the finish is remarkably smooth with a creamy texture, characteristic of Soma’s expertise in hazy styles, leaving a lingering impression of tropical fruit nectar and soft resin.
