Grapefruit Witbier

Disfrutamos mucho jugar con nuestra levadura de Witbier para seguir encontrando algunos toques sutiles en una wit clásica. En este caso hemos aumentado el contenido de trigo para un cuerpo aún más redondo y lupulada con callista y citra para darle notas a cítricos y melocotón. La naranja y cilantro habitual en el estilo están ahí, pero están acompañadas de pomelo para levantar el toque cítrico. La idea aquí es la sutileza. El pomelo es la adición más presente pero no nos distrae de lo que es una cerveza de trago largo y refrescante. Con un ABV de solo 4,5% y un final seco, es nuestra opción al sol en las terrazas de barna

We are enjoying playing around with our Witbier yeast strain and finding subtle tweaks on classic Witbier. This one sees and increase in raw wheat content for an even softer, fluffier body. Lightly hopped on the hot side with Callista and Citra, to weave in some citrus and peach notes. The traditional Curaco orange and coriander are there but they are joined by grapefruit to enhance the citrus qualities. The idea here is subtlety. The grapefruit is the most present of the additions but not distracting from what should be an easy drinking refreshing beer. At a lower abv of 4.5% and finishing dry, this will be our go to on the sunny terraces of Barcelona.
