This Double IPA, a collaborative effort with the haze specialists at Soma, presents an intense sensory profile driven by a heavy-handed application of Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka hops. The aroma is dominated by New Zealand character, showcasing pungent white grape, crushed gooseberry, and a distinct diesel-like funk. Layers of stone fruit, vibrant grapefruit, and fresh honeydew melon emerge as the liquid warms. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer maintains high drinkability with a soft, supportive graininess. It delivers a saturated hop experience that balances tropical sweetness with a firm, integrated bitterness, leading to a lingering, fruit-forward finish.
