Espiga’s Black Break is a quintessential Irish Stout that balances robust roasted intensity with a remarkably drinkable 5% ABV. A sophisticated malt foundation of Golden Promise and Imperial Malt supports the signature dry, coffee-like bite of Unmalted Roasted Barley. Carafa Special II and Chocolate Malt contribute deep layers of unsweetened cocoa and toasted grain, while the addition of Malted Oats and oat flakes provides a luxurious, silky texture that softens the roasted edges. While traditional in spirit, the use of Talus hops introduces a subtle, modern herbal complexity. It finishes bone-dry with a clean, lingering espresso-like bitterness and a thick, creamy beige foam.
