Heatwave is a massive, viscous Imperial Stout born from an exceptionally heavy mash, delivering an intense and complex sensory experience. The appearance is jet black and opaque, crowned by a thick, dark tan head. A deep aroma reveals layers of bittersweet chocolate, black licorice, and espresso, complemented by esters of dried figs and raisins. On the palate, the density is immediate, offering a luxurious, velvety texture that carries flavors of charred grain and molasses. Significant bitterness balances the residual malt sweetness, while the 10.5% alcohol provides a smooth, lingering warmth through a harmonious, powerful finish.
