Borea presents a creative interpretation of the Belgian Tripel, merging traditional monastic complexity with Galician influence. The sensory profile is defined by an effervescent marriage of spicy, peppery phenols and vibrant fruity esters. The addition of Albariño introduces bright notes of white grape and stone fruit, which elevate the classic citrus character of the yeast. A subtle hint of wood provides a structured, dry foundation, harmonizing with a grainy Pilsner malt backbone. The finish is remarkably dry and crisp, hiding its 8% ABV behind a mask of vinous sophistication and firm, clean bitterness, making it a surprisingly drinkable strong ale.
