Althaia Mascarat

Althaia Mascarat is a sophisticated Black Rye IPA that masterfully balances assertive hop intensity with a restrained, dark malt backbone. It presents a striking appearance with its deep black color and persistent, cinnamon-hued foam. The aroma provides a vivid contrast, layering resinous pine and bright citrus hop notes over a soft veil of milk chocolate and light toast. On the palate, the inclusion of rye lends a distinctive peppery spiciness and a subtle graininess that sharpens the dry finish. Despite its obsidian hue, the profile remains exceptionally drinkable, emphasizing hop freshness and firm bitterness over heavy roast, resulting in a clean, lingering finish with integrated alcohol warmth.
